Welcome to our Governors’ section.
Welcome to our school, proudly part of The Leaf Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). A MAT is a group of academies working together under a single trust board to share resources and expertise and improve educational outcomes.
At The Leaf Trust, we hold the values of Belong, Grow, and Succeed at the heart of everything we do. We deeply value our community, with each of our schools firmly anchored in their local areas, fostering strong relationships and supported through local governance. Our school governors play a crucial role in championing the educational outcomes for all children, ensuring that the school's vision and values are upheld and actively pursued.
To maintain a strong local voice, each school's governing forum includes two parent representatives and a staff member. This structure ensures that the perspectives and concerns of both families and staff are heard and integrated into the decision-making process. Together, we strive to create an environment where every child can belong, grow, and succeed

1 | Andrew Cambers | I have been a governor at Stanbridge since early 2023 and have a son, Isaac in Year 2 at our school. My main areas of interest are curriculum and standards and pupil and staff wellbeing. I really enjoy making a difference, supporting the school in shaping its future and making our school a place where all children can be their best. I have worked in financial services for over 15 years, specialising in retail banking product management. In my spare time I enjoy an active lifestyle, running and spending time with family and friends.

2 | Pete Williams | I have been a governor at Stanbridge since February 2023 and I have two children at the school, Harry in Year 6 and Isla in Year 5 so I am invested in making Stanbridge as good as it can be for all our current and future pupils. I am particularly interested in the curriculum and performance elements of governance as well as pupil well-being.
I am the managing director of a Digital Agency based in Bristol so am interested in all thing’s web and digital related. In my spare time I love playing golf, tennis and socialising with friends.

3 | Peter Cumming | I have been a governor at Stanbridge since February 2023 and I have two children at the school, Finn in Year 5 and Seren in Year 3. As a parent of a child with SEND needs, I am particularly interested in how the school supports SEND children to ensure they feel included, nurtured, supported and are able to achieve their full potential. I am a director of a construction consultancy which provides due diligence services to Banks and Funders providing development finance on construction projects. In my spare time I enjoy, surfing, karate, DIY and socialising with friends.

4 | Pam Cottee | I have been a governor at Stanbridge since April 2023. I have been involved with education for many years, as a nursery and Primary school teacher in many schools in the local and wider area. My interests are varied! I sing in various choirs (and ran a successful school choir too). I organise and run a local Scout group and exercise at the Nutfield gym. I believe every child should have every opportunity to achieve their full potential and prepare them for future opportunities.

5 | Vida Green | I have been a governor at Stanbridge since April 2024. I am the link governor for Disadvantage and strongly believe that every pupil should have access to the best opportunities and support to help them succeed in education.
I work in the TV Industry in Production Management, a role that is heavily focused on supporting people on a large scale, both operationally and in their wellbeing and mental health.
In my spare time, I volunteer as a Reading Buddy where I read once a week with multilingual children, helping them gain confidence with their English reading and comprehension skills. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, especially in the garden or going on a long walk with family and friends.
With my experience and skills, I will help support Stanbridge and hold the school accountable in our commitment to providing the best educational experience and outcome for every pupil. | 23.09.24 25.11.24 03.02.25 10.03.25 | |||||||
